I only knew Hilary for a couple of years on IOW but had the privilege of supporting her by taking services for her at Holy Cross ( where she sang in the choir) and St Marks and All Saints. It is typical of her that only now do I learn she was a Bank Manager and Canon Emeritus at the cathedral and clearly gave countless hours of her time in retirement to church, diocese, Abbeyfields and most of all care for individual people. The world has lost a dear saint who I am certain will be greatly missed...yet I can picture her smiling face as she gazes on her Lord and joins the heavenly choir in praise of Him.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
